No legalese. Here's exactly what we store, who sees it, and how to make it disappear.
What we store about workers
Your name, email, mobile, suburb, age bracket (over 18 or 16–17), the roles/skills/certs you told us, your availability grid, a short blurb, and — if you consented — your voice recording and board photo.
We never store your ID. When you verify at 318 West we look at your photo ID to confirm you're you, and hand it straight back. We record only that it was sighted, when, and by whom.
Who sees what
Anyone can see the public board: your first name, photo, blurb, roles, certs, availability, and verified badge.
Only employers with a live job listing, logged in, can see your mobile number and play your voice intro — and only when you match their shifts. They contact you directly by text or call.
Nobody ever sees your surname, email, suburb, or age bracket publicly. We don't sell or share your information with anyone, full stop.
Your voice recording
Your recording exists so employers can hear you, not just read about you. It's stored privately and only playable by a logged-in employer viewing their shortlist. Untick "share voice chat" at signup and we never keep it at all. The transcription service processes your audio to turn it into text, then we delete their copy.
Under 18
Workers aged 16–17 need a parent or guardian's consent to be listed, and we never match them to late-night shifts or jobs serving alcohol. Under 16s can't be listed at all.
Employers
We store your business name, contact name and email, and your job listings. Your contact email is never shown publicly — workers see your business name and the job, and you contact them, not the other way round.
Delete everything, anytime
Log in at hastingscbd.nz/my-profile and hit delete. That genuinely removes it all — profile, voice recording, board photo — immediately and permanently. No exit interview, no retention period, no dark patterns.
Employers: remove your listings anytime from the employer portal, or email us to remove your account entirely.
